About Us
Balanced Buddha Purrs and Peace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue founded in 2023 with a mission to bring compassion, calm, and care to the lives of stray and abandoned cats. What began as a small trap-neuter-return (TNR) effort in our local town has grown into a multi-town rescue operation, offering vital support to underserved feline populations across the region.
We focus on humane solutions—providing spay/neuter services, medical care, and rehabilitation, while working to find loving forever homes for adoptable cats. Through community outreach, education, and grassroots dedication, we strive to bring balance and peace not only to the lives of cats, but also to the people who welcome them home.
Whether through adoption, sponsorship, or volunteer work, every act of kindness helps us build a more compassionate world—one purr at a time.
We personally handle all our own TNR efforts and have successfully trapped, neutered, and returned over 90 cats. Leading to no new kittens in our home base of Sligo the following year.
Through dedicated rescue and rehabilitation, we’ve pulled cats directly from the streets and found loving homes for over 70 cats! Turning survival stories into second chances.
